WRITING ASSOCIATE FELLOWSHIP

I have served as a Writing Associate (WA) at Swarthmore College since Fall 2018. As a Writing Associate, I collaborate with student writers during all stages of their writing process and work in tandem with college professors to best assess their students' needs. The WA Fellowship has taught me adaptability, rapport-building, and how to prioritize students' needs. During the Spring 2021 semester, I was among 4 of 60 Writing Associates selected to develop a series of anti-racist writing workshops for a Swarthmore Education course. These workshops explored abolitionist writing through the themes of embodied knowledge and the nonfiction narrative style.
